Simplicity of Life....

Ah the simplicity of life!!! If only things could be simple.....

I know I've had that thought many a times but in times of trouble I take a moment then take a couple of deep breaths and say to myself, "God give me strength"!

Putting my love life on hold for now, staying positive, keeping myself busy, enjoying the love and support of my closest friends continuously saying to myself, "that I'm am the Goddess of my own domain"! As I put a big beautiful smile on my face as I joyously prepare for
Highball Halloween and Trauma!!!!!

HIGHBALL takes place in our fabulous Short North Arts District on High Street. The event began as a one-night event centered around the signature Costume Couture Fashion Show, where local designers compete for the top spot and a cash prize. Now its become this spectacular two day extravaganza which has gained national attention with a grandeur outrageous street party, amazing stage performances and a public costume contest which showcases the most creative and elaborate costumes you would want to lay your eyes on!

It's a fabulous event enjoyed by all!!

OMG! This will be my sixth year attending!!

Usually a group of my gal pals show up with a theme for #Highball.

Last year it was the Can Can Girls, the year before that it was Disney Princesses/Greek Goddesses. This year its sexy nurse/ zombie nurse/combination of both.

I just hope it's a lot warmer than it was last year.

Then there's TRAUMA!! What can I say about #Trauma....WICKEDLY FUN!!!

This will be my second year attending and I can't wait to see what they have in stored!

The first time I went which was last year, I have to admit I was a bit nervous not knowing what to expect especially after viewing the website but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, I had an incredible time and that's all I'm going to say....(wink, wink)

Now to go shopping for the right naughty costumes!!!

Life's Journey

I have to admit that it's been a very interesting couple of years with all the things I've been through but it's been a growing experience to say the least.

Through my travels in life I continue to be optimistic no matter what the situation is. To me, there's no such thing as failure just obstacles to over come and learn from. There are many blessing in my life that I am so grateful for and I continue to be blessed on a regular basis.

I've been busy building up my real estate business - www.realtorsabrinahayes.com. It's not as easy as I thought it would be. So much work and time involved but I enjoy it, especially the wonderful people I get to meet.

I know a lot of people are wondering if I'm still modeling and the answer is yes. I have managed to continue doing so with all the other things I have going on. In fact, I do have a couple of photo shoots coming up. Pictures will be posted on my facebook page and maybe on my site.

Meanwhile it's CMH Fashion Week here in Columbus, Ohio and I'm preparing to attend the many wonderful events leading up to the main one. So if you're in town why not check it out.

Like Fine Wine

Last night I watched "She's Got The Look" on channel TVLand (which I think it should have been moved to another network). It's a modeling competition for models 35 and over, I have to say that I was very impressed by the show, showcasing that women are still just as beautiful and desirable pass the age of 35. Hell, I think your life truly begins when you're in your 30's.

I myself had plan to audition for the show by flying out to New York where they had auditions but due to a family matter I was unable to attend.

I wish I did but I'm quite sure I will get another chance because I think the show despite what network it's on will be a success.

I for one think, as many women get older they feel more confident, beautiful and sexy. Especially if they take good care of themselves both physically and mentally.

Kudos to the creators and producers of the show for showing that like wine many of us only get finer with time.

xoxo,

Here's All I've Got. . . .

Here's one of our newest addition, "Chrissy" with all her splender.
A beautiful Golden Retriever who currently looks like a lab pup.
Like me, she's an angel with little tiny horns. . . .lol
I've dusted off my sketch pad in hopes of finding inspiration to sketch out some new fashion designs. So far, I've come up with a couple, but the ideas are not flowing the way I thought they would. Hmmmm, I have to find a way to remedy that.
I'm predicting that the fashion scene in Columbus will start exploding and I want to be very mucha a part of it and not just as a career model.
A little tibit for the locals in the fashion and art biz, every Friday BoMA (Bar of Modern Art) is the place to be for the industry professionals to network. So make sure to bring your business cards or comp cards to exchange. Remember, this coming friday the 19th is the "Fashion Catwalk Chanllenge" the final challenge of the "1st Annual Columbus Model Quest competition."
Now back to listening to my guilty pleasure, "Justin Timberlake's new CD" and reading "Again" (finding it hard to put this book down) by Sharon Cullars.
